As we continue with our plans for rapid regional growth, we are seeking to hire a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our core team. The ideal candidate will have a significant impact on our financial strategy by ensuring financial discipline and driving growth and profitability.
Location: Udupi/Mangalore
Key Responsibilities :
1. Financial Strategy and Planning :
Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with business objectives.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team for effective decision-making.
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes to drive financial discipline and accountability.
Identify and evaluate strategic opportunities for growth, cost optimization, and risk mitigation within the Real Estate sector.
Develop, plan and spearhead the Investment strategy.
2. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and analyse accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, highlighting variances and providing insights to management.
Develop financial models and conduct scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and tax requirements specific to the industry.
3. Cash Flow Management and Treasury:
Develop and implement effective cash flow management strategies to optimize working capital.
Identification of debt funding requirements for the Company, liaising with financial institutions, negotiating and finalizing terms, vetting and execution of documents, satisfaction of financing conditions and drawdown of funds.
Monitor and manage liquidity, cash balances, and banking relationships tailored to the unique needs of our industry.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate financing options to support the company's growth objectives within the managed workspace/co-working space market.
Implement robust treasury controls and policies to mitigate financial risks inherent to our industry.
4. Financial Operations and Controls:
Establish and maintain a strong internal control environment to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger, with a focus on industry-specific practices.
Coordinate and attend to statutory, tax and internal audit matters thereby ensuring the completion of all related processes pertaining to the same.
Implement and maintain financial systems and processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and automation initiatives tailored to our industry's requirements.
5. Team Leadership and Development:
Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning specific to the managed workspace/co-working space industry.
Set clear performance expectations, provide feedback, and support professional development initiatives.
Coach and mentor team members to enhance their financial acumen and business partnering skills within the context of managed workspace/co-working space operations.
Foster strong cross-functional relationships and effectively communicate financial insights to stakeholders within our company.
Qualifications :
Qualified Chartered Accountant with a proven track record (18 to 20 years) in a Senior Finance role
Working knowledge in the Real Estate Industry is a must.
Work with CXOs and bring the alignment in decisions and efficiently to plan and implement the same.
Proficiency in financial modelling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making within this industry.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment and adapt to changing priorities inherent to the managed workspace/co-working space industry.
Support business development activities to drive business growth and provide sound advice on accounting impact of acquisitions and divestments activities.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills tailored to the nuances of this Industry.
